My work today is shaped by many years of practice, learning, and reflection. As a relational integrative psychotherapist, I bring together psychological theory, creative therapeutic approaches, and a deep respect for the unique ways people make sense of their lives.

Many of the people who find their way to my practice are thoughtful individuals who want to explore their lives more deeply and are open to engaging with the emotional complexity that can come with meaningful change.

I originally trained in Psychology and Social Work before qualifying as a Play Psychotherapist. Over more than twenty years of therapeutic work with children, teenagers, and adults, my approach has continued to evolve. What remains central is my belief that meaningful change often grows through relationship, insight, and the experience of being understood within a safe and thoughtful therapeutic space.

Alongside my clinical work, I have had the privilege of providing consultation and training to professionals across health, social care, and education. I also value my role as a clinical supervisor, supporting counsellors and therapeutic practitioners as they reflect on their work and deepen their understanding of trauma, attachment, and creativity in therapeutic practice.

Some clients are also interested in integrating Reiki into their therapeutic journey. While my work is grounded in psychological theory and research, I recognise that belief systems, spirituality, and personal meaning can play an important role in how people understand their experiences. Reiki can offer another way of supporting relaxation, awareness, and connection to the body. For others, psychotherapy alone is the focus of our work.

I have completed Shinpiden — the Master level of Usui Reiki Ryoho — as both practitioner and teacher. This training has deepened my appreciation of presence, connection, and embodied awareness, qualities that can complement therapeutic work. At times this may simply involve noticing the body, the breath, or the ways we hold tension or emotion.

I am insured, hold a current DBS certificate, and am a registered member of both the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), working within the ethical frameworks of these professional organisations
